TRADING STATEMENT
Matodzi is expecting a decrease, due to fair value adjustments of investments,
of R25,9 million in headline earnings and earnings per share for the six-month
period ended 30 September 2004 compared to the six months ended 30 September
2003. The headline earnings and earnings per share for the six months ended 30
September 2004, is expected to be a decrease of approximately R33,9 million
compared to the results published for the year ended 31 March 2004. The
information in this trading statement has not been reviewed or reported on by
Matodzi`s auditors. The interim results announcement is expected to be
published on or about 23 December 2004.
