TRADING STATEMENT
Shareholders of Aveng (`shareholders`) are referred to the annual financial
statements of the company for the year ended 30 June 2004 which were published
on 13 September 2004 and to the Chairman`s Annual General Meeting statement
published on 29 October 2004.
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities Exchange,
shareholders are advised that the company anticipates headline earnings for the
interim period to 31 December 2004 to exceed that of the corresponding interim
period ended 31 December 2003 by between 40% and 60%. Headline earnings for the
full financial year to June 2005 are expected to exceed that of the previous
year by a similar quantum.
The financial information on which this statement is based has not been reviewed
or reported on by the company`s auditors.
The interim financial statements to 31 December 2004 are expected to be released
on Monday 7 March 2005 and the annual financial statements for the year ended 30
June 2005 are expected to be released on 12 September 2005.
