NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a preference dividend at the rate of 5,5% per annum
has been declared for the half year ending 31 December 2004, payable in South
African currency, on 14 February 2005 and amounts to 5,5 cents per share.

Preference share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised
