RESIGNATION OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In compliance with rule 3.59 of the JSE Listing Requirements, the following
inforamtion is disclosed:
The board of directors of Nedcor and Nedbank announce the resignation of Ms
Hixonia Nyasulu as an independent non-executive director and vice-chairman from
the boards of Nedcor and Nedbank with effect from 26 January 2005.
Ms Nyasulu leads an empowerment group which plans to acquire assets in the
financial services sector. Her resignation will allow her to explore any
opportunities which may exist within this sector without concerns about
potential conflicts of interest.
The board extends its gratitude to Ms Nyasulu for the contribution she has made
to the group over the past three years. Nedcor chairman, Warren Clewlow,
commented that `her contribution has been substantial and we will miss her
valued input`.
