It was previously provided that the announcement of the Interim Results of
Shoprite Holdings Ltd would occur on 1 March 2005.
However, the Board of directors of the Group has decided to sit on Monday, 21
February 2005, to consider the results and accordingly the announcement of these
results on SENS will be on Tuesday, 22 February 2005
