DECLARATION OF PREFERENCE DIVIDENDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following preference dividends have been
declared for the six months to 28 February 2005, payable on Monday, 14 March
2005.
The last day on which shares will trade cum dividend will be Friday, 4 March
2005. Shoprite Holdings Ltd preference shares will trade ex dividend as from
Monday, 7 March 2005. The record date will be Friday, 11 March 2005.
Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised between Monday, 7
March 2005 and Friday, 11 March 2005, both days inclusive.
