CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Highveld has received a number of unsolicited approaches for the purchase of its
alloys divisions, Rand Carbide and Transalloys. The corporation has commenced a
formal process to determine whether shareholder value would be maximised by the
sale of these divisions.
A further announcement in this regard will only be released if agreements are
reached or the disposal processes stopped. Until such time, shareholders are
advised to exercise caution when dealing in Highveld shares.
