TRADING STATEMENT
Shareholders are advised that the headline earnings and earnings of L.A. Group
for the year ending 28 February 2005 are expected to be between 40% and 60%
higher than that for the previous comparable period, due to continued buoyant
trading conditions.
The increase in earnings can be mainly ascribed to the turnaround in the
performance of the UK business - as highlighted at interim stage - as well as
the strong performance from the companies in the branded distribution division.
This division`s growth is the result of an increase in market share, boosted by
buoyant economic conditions.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors. The year end results are
expected to be published on or about 11 May 2005.
