TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa Listings Requirements,
companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are
reasonably certain that the financial results for the current reporting period
will be more than 20% different than that of the previous corresponding period.
Ceramic expects to announce earnings per share and headline earnings per share
for the six months ended 31 January 2005 that will be approximately 30% higher
than that of the prior comparative period. This improved performance is the
result of improved efficiencies in all the factories and increased consumer
demand for tiles and sanitaryware.
The above information has not been reviewed or reported on by the company`s
auditors and the company`s results for the six months ended 31 January 2005 are
expected to be published on 9 March 2005.
