UPDATE ON THE PROPOSED DISPOSAL BY JCI OF A PORTFOLIO OF BLACK ECONOMIC
EMPOWERMENT JOINT VENTURE INVESTMENTS AND MINERAL RIGHTS TO ORLYFUNT, A BLACK
OWNED INVESTMENT AND MANAGEMENT COMPANY
Shareholders were advised on 9 December 2004 that agreement had been reached in
terms of which JCI would, subject to certain conditions precedent, dispose of a
portfolio of black economic empowerment joint venture investments and mineral
rights to OrlyFunt (`the disposal`).
Following consultation with the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa, consensus
has been reached on the contents of the circular to JCI shareholders pertaining
to the disposal, which circular will be despatched to JCI shareholders in due
course.
