GENERAL ISSUE OF UNITS FOR CASH
Unitholders are advised that S A Retail has placed 13 882 288 linked units with
institutional investors at an issue price of 680 cents per linked unit. The
issue price represents a discount of 4.2% to the 30 day weighted average traded
price of S A Retail prior to the date the issue price was determined.
The new linked units will be issued on 7 March 2005 and will rank pari passu in
all respects with the current issued unit capital of S A Retail.
The general issue does not have a material effect on the net asset value,
earnings and distribution per linked unit of S A Retail.
