WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Further to the cautionary announcements released on SENS on 26 November 2004, 13
January 2005 and 25 February 2005 regarding discussions between Southern
Platinum Corp. (`Southern Platinum`) and various parties to restructure, replace
or eliminate the syndicated project debt facility, shareholders are referred to
the joint announcement released on SENS by Lonmin plc (`Lonmin`) today, 22 March
2005, regarding a bid whereby Lonmin will offer to acquire the outstanding
common shares of Southern Platinum for a cash consideration of C$2.66 per common
share (`the acquisition`).
Given that the terms and conditions of the acquisition are now available in the
market, caution is no longer required to be exercised by shareholders when
dealing in their Messina securities.
