APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD
The Company is pleased to announce that Dr Mamphela Ramphele has been appointed
as a non-executive director with effect from 17 March 2005.
Dr Ramphele originally qualified as a medical doctor, but has also obtained
other degrees and numerous honorary doctorates. She has been vice-chancellor
of the University of Cape Town, a managing director of the World Bank and
currently serves as chair of Circle Capital Ventures. It is foreseen that
apart from her directorship, she will also render certain consultancy services
to the Company.
