CHANGES TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with Section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Securities Exchange South Africa, shareholders are advised of certain changes to
the board of directors of the Company.
Mr Andre Bekker, who was the representative of the Industrial Development
Corporation (`IDC`) on the board of directors of Merafe, has resigned from the
IDC and, accordingly, from the board of directors of the Company with effect
from 31 March 2005. The directors wish to thank Mr Bekker for his invaluable
contribution to the Company over the last five years.
The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of two independent non-
executive directors, namely Ms Zanele Joyce Matlala and Ms Lebogang Mogotsi who
have been appointed with effect from 1 April 2005. Ms Matlala is the Chief
Financial Officer of the Development Bank Of Southern Africa while Ms Mogotsi is
a director of Lebone Resources (Proprietary) Limited, a women`s empowerment
company focusing on mining, beneficiation and consulting.
