Appointment of Chief Executive Officer and Financial Director
Mvelaphanda Resources is pleased to announce the appointment of Petrus Cornelius
(Pine) Pienaar as Chief Executive Officer, effective 20 April 2005.
Mr Pienaar has served as an Executive Director of Mvelaphanda Resources since
March 2004.

confident he will continue to lead and add value to the company,` commented

Mvelaphanda Resources will also be appointing a new Financial Director with
effect from 1 August 2005. Due to current conditions of employment, details of
the new appointment - a black woman -- cannot be revealed at this stage.
