ACQUISITION BY VALUE OF COUNTRYWIDE FOOTWEAR CARRIERS (PTY) LTD
1. Conditions Precedent
Further to the announcement made on 5 April 2005, Investec Bank Limited is
authorised to announce that Competition Commission approval was granted for the
Countrywide Footwear Carriers (Pty) Ltd (`CFC`) acquisition on 12 April 2005.
2. Value has entered into a further agreement with CFC and Consolidated
Importers and Exporters (Pty) Ltd (`the Vendor`), in terms of which the
fulfillment of the remaining conditions precedent referred to in paragraph 5 of
the announcement made on 5 April 2005 is extended to 16 May 2005.
