IFRS RESTATEMENT (UNAUDITED)
In accordance with the rules of the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa, Mutual
& Federal will publish the financial results of the company in terms of
International Financial Reporting Standards (`IFRS`) with effect from 1 January
2005.
Due to the close alignment of South African statements of Generally Accepted
Accounting Practice (`SA GAAP`) with IFRS, the impact of this conversion will be
limited. The financial impact of the changes on the financial results for the
year ended 31 December 2004 will be an increase of not more than 3% on earnings
and an increase of not more than 2% on net asset value.
