SUSPENSION OF LISTING
The Directors of ZCI wish to inform shareholders that the delay in the
submission of its provisional results for the period ended 31 December 2004 has
resulted from delays in the production of accounts at Konkola Copper Mines plc
(`KCM`). Shareholders are reminded that although ZCI`s 28.4% shareholding in KCM
represents the Company`s sole material asset, ZCI no longer controls the
production of KCM`s accounts or the timing thereof.
The ZCI Board is making every effort to finalise the production of the
provisional results in conjunction with the Company`s auditors and is of the
opinion that it will be in a position to release these results shortly.
Due to the delay in the publication of the provisional annual financial
statements the JSE has suspended ZCI`s listing with immediate effect.
