Netcare announcement
Netcare Shareholders are advised that:
* It is the intention of Dr Jackie Shevel to resign as the Chief Executive
Officer with effect from Netcare`s Financial Year ending 30 September 2005;
* Dr Richard Friedland will relocate to South Africa and be appointed as Chief
Executive Officer upon Dr Shevel`s resignation becoming effective;
* Dr Shevel`s decision to resign is purely for personal and family reasons; and
* Dr Shevel will continue to have a significant association with Netcare as a
Non-Executive Director of the Board, as the Non-Executive Chairman of
Netcare`s International subsidiary and in the roll-out of the Group`s
International expansion strategy.
Dr Friedland is a co-founder of the Group, was formerly its Chief Operating
Officer and is currently the Executive Head of Netcare`s International
Operations.
The Board has every confidence that the Netcare Group will continue to grow from
strength to strength under the stewardship of Dr Friedland.
The Board of Directors takes this opportunity of expressing its deep gratitude
to Dr Shevel for the immeasurable contribution he has made to the initiation,
development, growth and stability of the Netcare Group as its Chief Executive
Officer.
Netcare looks forward to receiving the benefit of Dr Shevel`s vision and wisdom
through his continued association with the Group.
