OMNIA APPOINTS NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO THE BOARD
Omnia, a specialist chemical services company providing customised solutions in
the agriculture, mining and chemical markets, today announced the appointment of
Diane Radley as a non-executive director of the Board and member of the Audit
Committee.
Commenting on the appointment, Rod Humphris, MD Omnia Holdings, said:
`We are delighted to have Diane join Omnia`s Board. Her strong financial
background and knowledge of the South African business environment will enhance
board discussions and add significant weight to our business. Diane has an
impressive track record and we are pleased to have someone with her level of
expertise join the Group.`
Diane is the current Chief Financial Officer of Altron - and a member of their
Executive Committee - a position she has held since 2002. She also sits on the
Boards of Altech, BTG, Fintech, and Powertech - as a non-executive director.
Diane also Chairs the Powertech and Fintech Audit Committees. She previously
served as a non-executive director on the Wiphold Board.
Diane is a certified accountant and began her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers
in 1988 as an auditor. She spent 15 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, ending her
time there as Partner in Charge - Transaction Services. Her role included
assisting with the setting up of the Transaction Services Group in South Africa,
focusing on private equity funds, investment banks, strategic buyers and other
equity providers.
Diane joins the Omnia Board as from 19 May 2005.
