RESOLUTION OF DISPUTE WITH SOUTH AFRICAN REVENUE SERVICE
UCS shareholders are referred to previous communications by UCS in which they
were advised that UCS Solutions (Proprietary) Limited (formerly Affinity Logic
Holdings (Proprietary) Limited) (`UCS Solutions`), a major operating subsidiary
of UCS, had disclosed a contingent liability, estimated at R20 million including
interest, pursuant to a re-assessment of taxes by the South African Revenue
Services (SARS).
UCS is pleased to advise that UCS Solutions has now reached agreement with SARS
regarding the re-assessment of the company`s 1999, 2000 & 2001 tax returns and
that the matter has been resolved at no direct cash cost to the Group.
