REPURCHASE OF CONVERTIBLE DEBENTURES IN TERMS OF A GENERAL AUTHORITY
In terms of a general authority granted at the annual general meeting held in
September 2004, the company repurchased 3,428,828 of the company`s
unsubordinated, unsecured, redeemable, convertible debentures (`convertible
debentures`) on the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa (`JSE`) (`the
repurchase`), resulting in a 14.9% repurchase during the current financial year.
The convertible debentures repurchased are to be cancelled and application will
be made to the JSE for their listing to be terminated.
The details of the repurchase are as follows:
Date of the repurchase: 14 June 2005
Number of convertible debentures repurchased: 3,428,828
Number of convertible debentures that remain outstanding: 11,458,662
