In compliance with Rules 3.63 - 3.74 of the JSE Listing Requirements, the
following information is disclosed:
On 13 June 2005 the following executives were granted share options over
ordinary shares at a price of R22.30 each. The share options may only be
exercised, paid for and taken up if, after 5 years, certain pre-determined Pick
`n Pay Stores Limited share price eligibility and performance hurdles have been
met. All share options are of a direct beneficial nature and were approved by
the remuneration committee.
