CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND COMPANY SECRETARY
In compliance with the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa Listings
Requirements, shareholders are advised that as a result of the acquisition of
Messina`s ultimate holding company by a subsidiary of Lonmin Plc (announced on
SENS on 13 June 2005), it was necessary to appoint representatives of Lonmin Plc
as officers and directors of the Company. The following changes to the board
have therefore been made, with effect from today, 15 June 2005:
Resignations:
- Dr CMH Jennings has resigned as a non-executive director (chairman) from
the board of Messina;
- Mr PC Evans has resigned as an executive director from the board of
Messina;
- Mr TC Dawson has resigned as a non-executive director from the board of
Messina;
- Mr LJ Fox has resigned has resigned as a non-executive director from the
board of Messina;
- Mr MW Rosslee has resigned as an executive director from the board of
Messina; and
- Mr A MacPhee has resigned as an executive director from the board of
Messina.
Appointments:
- Mr BA Mills has been appointed as an executive director to the board of
Messina;
- Mr JN Robinson has been appointed as an executive director to the board of
Messina;
- Mr IP Farmer has been appointed as an executive director to the board of
Messina;
- Mr A Ross has been appointed as an executive director to the board of
Messina; and
- Mr JF Grimbeek has been appointed as an executive director to the board of
Messina.
Shareholders are further advised that Mr MA Kritzinger has resigned as Secretary
of the Company and that Mr P McElligott has been appointed in his stead, with
effect from today, 15 June 2005.
