Further to the cautionary announcement released on SENS on 12 May 2005 and in
the press on 13 May 2005, shareholders are advised that the full details
relating to how the acquisition of Southern Platinum Corp (Messina`s ultimate
holding company) by Lonmin will impact Messina have not yet been finalised.
Accordingly, shareholders are advised to continue to exercise caution when
dealing in their Messina securities until a further announcement is made.
