FORMATION OF A JOINT VENTURE
WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Further to the cautionary announcement dated 7 June 2005, shareholders are
advised that the company has entered into an agreement dated 11 July 2005 (`the
agreement`), in terms of which the parties to the agreement have formed a joint
venture (`the joint venture`) to market and distribute several world leading
brands of cellular telephone handsets and related hardware and equipment
throughout Africa. Amap has a 51% interest in the joint venture.
Having regard to this information, the cautionary announcement dated 7 June 2005
is hereby withdrawn.
