WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are referred to the cautionary announcement released on 21 February
2005. The Corporation has decided that, in view of the significant decrease in
silica manganese export prices, the disposal of Transalloys would not serve to
maximise shareholder value at this time.
The disposal process for Rand Carbide is continuing, but the value attributable
to Rand Carbide is not financially material to Highveld. Consequently,
shareholders are advised that they no longer need exercise caution when trading
in their Highveld shares.
