SALIENT DATES FOR SPECIAL DIVIDEND DECLARATION
Further to the annual results for the year ended 31 March 2005 as released on
SENS on 21 June 2005, shareholders are advised that the Absa transaction has
been declared unconditional and the special dividend of 600 cents per share has
been declared by the Board of Remgro.
The salient dates for the special dividend will be as follows:
Last day to trade in order to participate
in the special dividend Friday, 12 August 2005
Trading on or after this date will be ex
the special dividend Monday, 15 August 2005
Record date Friday, 19 August 2005
Payment date Monday, 22 August 2005
Shareholders may not dematerialise or rematerialise their holdings of ordinary
shares between Monday, 15 August 2005, and Friday,
19 August 2005, both days inclusive.
