Results of the general meeting of HCI shareholders
Introduction
HCI shareholders are referred to the HCI announcement dated Thursday, 7 July
2005 in which it was stated that HCI intended convening a general meeting of the
shareholders of HCI to approve the mandatory offer by HCI`s wholly-owned
subsidiary, Mercanto Investments (Proprietary) Limited, to acquire all (or part)
of the issued shares in the capital of Johnnic that HCI and its subsidiaries do
not already own (`the offer`). A circular containing the notice of such general
meeting was posted to HCI shareholders on Wednesday, 13 July 2005.
Results of the general meeting
At the general meeting held on Thursday, 28 July 2005, the requisite majority of
HCI shareholders approved the resolutions necessary to authorise the offer.
