Changes to the Board
In compliance with Rule 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, the Company
advises shareholders that Mr PHP Jacobs, the Financial Director and Company
Secretary, has resigned from the Company to pursue private business interests.
He will remain in the employ of the Company until 31 October 2005 to finalise
the annual audit and publication of the Company`s results for the year to 30
June 2005, and the annual report for this period. The Company expressed its
appreciation to Pieter for his outstanding commitment and dedication to the
Company during his 7 years with Kagiso Media.
Shareholders are also advised that with effect from 1 September 2005 Ms Sandra
Pienaar will take up the position of Chief Financial Officer and Company
Secretary. Sandra is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) and in addition
holds an M.Comm (Tax) from the University of Pretoria. She was awarded her
B.Compt Honours and B.Comm (Acc) from the University of The Free State. Sandra
has an exceptional commercial track record since completing her articles with
Coopers&Lybrand. Since July 2001 until the recent delisting she has been in the
employ of ABI as Group Company Secretary and Corporate Financial Manager. Prior
to joining ABI Sandra served as General Manager Finance with Fedsure Health,
Corporate Financial Manager Tiger Milling and Group Financial Manager of
Ackermans Limited. Sandra will join the board of directors of Kagiso Media as
Financial Director with effect from 1 October 2005.
Shareholders are further advised that Ms Maude Motanyane will become a non-
executive director of Kagiso Media with effect from 1 September 2005. Maude is
an accomplished journalist, former editor of Tribute Magazine and currently a
director of Jikelele Media group, a television distribution company. She
currently serves on the board of Jacaranda FM (Pty) Ltd.
