TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the
financial results for the period to be reported on will be more than 20%
different from that of the previous corresponding period. Accordingly, a review
of the financial results for the year ended 30 June 2005 by management has
indicated that the company`s earnings per share will be between 138% and 158%
lower and headline earnings per share will be between 235% and 255% lower than
the previous corresponding period. The financial information on which this
trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by Alex White`s
auditors.
Alex White`s final results are expected to be published on SENS by the end of
September 2005.
