RESULTS OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Shareholders are advised that, at the annual general meeting of Absa held today,
all the resolutions set out in the Notice of Annual General Meeting dated 24
June 2005, were passed by the requisite majority of shareholders present or
represented by proxy. The special resolution in respect of the general
repurchase of shares will be submitted for registration at the Registrar of
Companies in due course.
