CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are referred to the announcement dated 4 August 2005 stating that
Altech had launched an application in the High Court of Botswana for the winding
up of Econet Wireless Global Limited (`EWG`) on a just and equitable basis due
to the relationship between Altech and the other shareholders of EWG (`TSMI
shareholders`) having irretrievably broken down.
Altech wishes to advise that it has been approached by the TSMI shareholders
with a view to settling the matter.
Should the discussions prove to be successful, a further announcement will be
issued to shareholders. Shareholders are thus advised to exercise caution when
dealing with their shares.
