Disposal of the Repairs and Services and Replacement Parts divisions
Shareholders are referred to the announcements released on 9 June and 18 August
2005 and the circular to ordinary shareholders dated 25 July 2005 regarding the
disposal of the Repairs and Services and Replacement Parts divisions by DEI
(`the disposal`).
DEI announces that shareholders in General Meeting, today approved the
resolutions necessary to give effect to the disposal.
The disposal remains conditional on the financing required to implement the
disposal being made available to the purchaser, in terms of the commitment
letter issued by the mandated lead arranger and underwriter, Barclays Bank plc,
South Africa Branch. The sole condition precedent is expected to be fulfilled by
no later than 29 September 2005, thereby making the effective date for the
disposal 30 September 2005.
