COMPETITION TRIBUNAL APPROVAL
Further to the announcements made on 4 May 2005 and 26 July 2005, the Company is
pleased to announce that the South African Competition Authorities, constituted
under the Competition Act, have approved the Wonderkop acquisition on an
unconditional basis.
The acquisition remains subject to Merafe obtaining the necessary funding
required in terms of the agreement for the Wonderkop acquisition. Obtaining the
funding will be conditional upon the approval by the JSE Limited of the
necessary documentation relating to the capital raising. A further announcement
will be made to inform shareholders once the above condition precedent has been
fulfilled.
