TRADING STATEMENT
Shareholders are advised that Cape Empowerment Trust`s headline earnings per
share and earnings per share for the six months ended 30 June 2005 are expected
to be between 250% and 270% higher than the previous comparable period, being
the six months ended 30 June 2004, due to the property investment performing
better than expected.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors. The interim results are
expected to be published on or about 26 September 2005.
