Pangbourne announces with deep regret the sudden passing of its CEO Athol
Campbell on 11 September 2005
Athol`s association with Pangbourne commenced on listing in 1987 as a Director.
In 1993 he was appointed chairman and in 1999 as CEO and started Pangbourne on
the path of success and sustainability that has enabled it to enjoy the status
that it has gained in the market today. His love for his work and his focused
energy and wisdom brought a special dimension to the company that will be sorely
missed.
Athol had been fighting cancer for a long period and had responded well to
treatment, but unexpected complications lead to his untimely death.
He had been in constant touch with the executive management and the board and it
is testimony to his leadership that he left the legacy of a strong executive
team that will continue to deliver to market expectations while the board
attends to its responsibility of appointing a successor.
