TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listing Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are
advised that Sovereign expects that the earnings per share and headline earnings
per share for the 6 months ended 31 August 2005 will be between 10% and 30%
higher than those for the 6 months ended 31 August 2004.
The Group had earnings per share of 48.5 cents for the 6 months ended 31 August
2004.
The financial information on which this trading statement has been based has not
been reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors.
