TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited (`JSE`), companies are
required to publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably
certain that the financial results for the period to be reported on next will be
more than 20% different from those of the previous corresponding period.
Accordingly, shareholders are advised that the group results for the year ending
30 June 2005, have shown an improvement compared to the previous corresponding
period. Shareholders are advised that the headline loss per share is expected
to show an improvement of 54.7% and loss per share an improvement of 10.9%.
The reasons for the improvement in headline loss per share are the disposal of
the equine operations and a tighter control over expenditure for the year.
The above information has been reviewed by the company`s auditors. The
publication of the company`s results for the year ending 30 June 2005 is
expected to be before the end of September 2005.
