TRADING STATEMENT
ZCI is currently finalising its results for the six months ended 30 June 2005,
which will be released before the end of September 2005. In this regard,
shareholders are advised that headline earnings per share will be between 50%
and 60% lower than that reported in the corresponding reporting period of the
previous year.
This decrease is largely due to the reduction of ZCI`s shareholding in Konkola
Copper Mines from 58% to 28.4% with effect from 31 October 2004.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the Company`s auditors.
