Alexander Forbes appoints new head of Africa operations
Alexander Forbes today announced the appointment of Peter Moyo as the Managing
Director of Alexander Forbes Africa with effect from 1 November 2005.
In his new position, Moyo will report directly to Rael Gordon, Group Chief
Executive, and will have responsibility for all of the Alexander Forbes
businesses in Africa, encompassing Risk and Insurance Services, Financial
Services and Investment Solutions.
Moyo is a Chartered Accountant by profession and brings to the Alexander Forbes
group his extensive experience in the financial services arena. He was
previously Deputy Managing Director of Old Mutual South Africa and was
responsible for a number of their businesses in South Africa. Prior to his time
at Old Mutual, Moyo was a partner at Ernst& Young and was a member of their
National Executive Committee.
Gordon said: `We are delighted that someone of Peter`s caliber and experience
has come on board and are confident that he will make a significant contribution
to the further growth of our South African businesses.`
