DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT
The trustees of the Satrix Collective Investment Scheme (being ABSA Bank
Limited) have resolved to make a distribution to holders of Satrix FINI Index
Securities recorded in the register in respect of the quarter ended 30 September
2005. This distribution will:
- be an amount of R 0.0393 cents (three point nine three) per Satrix FINI
Index Security, constituted by:
* 3.93 cents in respect of dividends;
- be made to all holders of Satrix FINI Index Securities recorded in the
register on 30 September 2005;
- be effected on 24 October 2005
An unavoidable tracking error was incurred during the quarter as a result of
various corporate transactions whereby the Satrix Fini Trust was forced to sell
certain of its holdings at a discount and repurchase these securities at the
market price in order to ensure perfect ongoing tracking of the FTSE/JSE
Financial 15 Index. These transactions and the amounts expended to restore the
correct index exposure were:

For the first nine months of 2005, the Satrix Indi Index securities had a Total
Expense Ratio (TER) of 6,5 basis points (0,065%).
