Investec Bank Limited, as Issuers of the above Enhanced Dividend Securities
(EDS), hereby reminds holders of their options relating to the imminent expiries
on 01Nov05 and 08Nov05 respectively (see the related securities above).
Holders may choose to exercise and pay the Exercise Price (Strike Price) in
order to receive the underlying securities on or before 12:00 pm on the second
last Business Day prior to the Expiry Date.
Holders may indicate to the Investec Equity Derivatives desk that they intend to
roll over into the "IDB" series of EDS (in which case Investec will make
arrangement to buy-back the "IDA" and sell the "IDB" at no spread margin). In
this case, the desk must be notified before 12:00 pm on the second last Business
Day prior to the Expiry Date. Should this be done on a one-for-one basis, a cash
distribution of the difference between the intrinsic value inherent to the "IDA"
and the less expensive "IDB" will accrue to the client.
Should holders not choose either option 1 or 2 above, the "IDA" EDS will expire
at full intrinsic value on the respective expiry date, and a cash settlement
amount representing the number of EDS held on that date multiplied by the excess
of the Volume Weighted Average Price of the Underlying Parcel over the last two
Business Days prior to the Expiry Date over the Exercise Price (Strike Price)
will automatically accrue to the holder.
The new "B" series of Enhanced Dividend Securities (EDS) have already been
listed, with new strike prices set at approximately 55% of the current share
price.
