Trading Update
In compliance with paragraph 3.4 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the Board of Directors wishes to advise shareholders that:
- basic headline earnings attributable to shareholders for the 6-months ended
30 September 2005 are expected to be between 20% and 25% higher than those
reported for the previous corresponding period; and
- basic earnings per share attributable to shareholders for the 6-months
ended 30 September 2005 are expected to be between 15% and 20% higher than
those reported for the previous corresponding period.
These results include the impact of AC 105 - leases and Circular 7/2005 issued
by SAICA on 2 August 2005 with retrospective effect.
Shareholders are advised that the information contained in the Trading Statement
has neither been reviewed or reported on by the Group"s external auditors.
The Group"s results for the 6-months ending 30 September 2005 will be released
on SENS on or about Tuesday, 1 November 2005.
