Results of General Meeting
Shareholders are referred to the announcement released on SENS on 2 November
2005 and in the press on 3 November 2005, in terms of which shareholders were
advised that in light of the recent release of the government"s new Broad-based
Black Economic Empowerment Codes of Good Practice, there were shareholders who
wished to have more time to consider the impact of these Codes on Metropolitan"s
Black Economic Empowerment transaction. Accordingly, at the general meeting
held on 2 November 2005 shareholders approved the adjournment of the general
meeting to Tuesday, 22 November 2005.
At the general meeting held on Tuesday, 22 November 2005 all the resolutions
proposed were passed by the requisite majority of shareholders entitled to vote.
The special resolutions will be registered with the Registrar of Companies in
due course.
