TRADING STATEMENT
Shareholders are advised that the Company expects a loss per share of between
6,50 and 7,50 cents and a headline loss per share of between 7,25 and 7,85 cents
for the period ended 31 August 2005. The earnings and headline earnings per
share for the corresponding period ended 31 August 2004 were 5,70 and 3,04 cents
respectively. The decline is mainly due to the increase of exploration
expenditure of R0,7 million incurred during this period on the Salt River Base
Mineral Project on the farm Adjoining Geelvloer 197 in the Northern Cape
Province. The Company"s interim results for the period ended 31 August 2005 will
be published on or about 30 November 2005.
The financial information contained in this statement has not been reviewed and
reported on by the auditors of the Company.
