TRADING STATEMENT
Shareholders are advised that Cape Empowerment Trust"s headline earnings per
share and earnings per share for the year ended 31 December 2005 are expected to
be between 120% and 140% higher than for the previous comparable period, being
the year ended 31 December 2004, due to the property investments of the company
performing better than expected.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the company"s auditors. The financial results are
expected to be published on or about 30 March 2005
