TRADING STATEMENT
Following the initial review of the interim results, the Company"s directors
would like to advise shareholders that Simmers expects to report an improvement
in its trading performance for the six months ended 30 September 2005. Losses
and headline losses for the six months to 30 September 2005 are expected to be
between 70% and 90% lower compared to that of the prior comparative period. The
improvement is mainly the result of the management fee received in respect of
the surface operations at Buffelsfontein.
The information in this trading statement has not been reviewed or reported on
by Simmers" auditors.
