DEALING IN SECURITIES BY A DIRECTOR
In compliance with paragraph 3.63 of the Listings Requirements of JSE
Limited ("the Listings Requirements") we hereby advise that for
financial planning purposes Mrs Adele Linda Cleaver, a director of
GFI Mining South Africa (Proprietary) Limited (major subsidiary
company of Gold Fields Limited) has sold shares pursuant to the
exercise of options which had been issued to her. Details of these
transactions are set out below:

Vesting Periods: A third of the total share option grant vests
upon the second anniversary of the grant date
and a further third of the total option grant
vests annually on future anniversaries of the
grant date and share options expire 7 years
from the grant date.
Nature of Interest : Directly beneficial
In terms of paragraph 3.66 of the Listings requirements prior
clearance for Mrs Adele Linda Cleaver to deal in the above
securities has been obtained from the Chairman of the Board of
GFI Mining South Africa (Proprietary) Limited, major subsidiary
company of Gold Fields Limited.
