AUDITORS REVIEW OF UNAUDITED INTERIM FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED
30 SEPTEMBER 2005 ("interim results")
The Company published interim results on SENS on 9 January 2006. In terms of
Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited ("JSE"), a review of the interim
results was required to be performed by the Company"s auditors.
Due to the recent appointment of KPMG Inc. as the new auditors to Matodzi, KPMG
Inc. were not able to complete such review within the time frame for the
publication of the interim results. Accordingly, with the agreement of the JSE,
the interim results were published without a review on the basis that once a
review was completed, the results of such review would be published. The Company
expects that such review will be completed by 28 February 2006, at which time a
further announcement will be published.
